Welcome to our sukkah

Temple Israel will hold an ushpizin service to welcome guests to our sukkah during family Shabbat services at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5. A potluck dinner in the sukkah will follow.

In the picture above, Religious and Hebrew School students had just finished decorating the sukkah with a blessing chain, stars of David and natural vegetation. Each student wrote three things for which they are thankful and three hopes for the world on the individual rings of the five-foot chain.
