Tu B'Shevat
Students, parents and other guests sampled almonds, olives, figs and other nuts and fruits during our Tu B’Shevat seder held Wednesday, Jan. 19.
The four courses represented the four levels in which Kabbalists believe that we live: Assiyah, the level of action and doing; Yetzirah, the level of energy and feelings; Briyah, the level of ideas and creativity; Atzilut, the level of spirituality and closeness to God.
We sang Hashkediyah, a classic Tu B’Shevat song about almond trees, planted parsley, danced Mayim Mayim, formed a conga line for Atzei Zeitim Omdim, sent our hopes for the world out on bubbles and competed in a sing-down of songs about trees.
